Today I am going on a varied tour that shows the whole diversity of our alpine homeland. Here I experienced my personal “summit” moment. In the morning I will take the Grasjochbahn from St. Gallenkirch. Over the panoramic path at the foot of the Zamangspitze I reached the mountain station Hochalpila. The view of the approximately 200 mountain peaks around – including the Piz Buin, the highest mountain in Vorarlberg, is simply impressive. Shortly before the mountain station I turn right towards Wormser Hütte. Here, however, I do not take the ridge hike, but the easier variant, a part of the Seetalwanderweg. In the Wormser Hut I enjoy the view and a delicious Vorarlberg speciality. After a refreshment in the rustic Wormser Hut, the descent goes over the Herzsee and Schwarzsee to the chapel. From there either take the Hochjochbahn to Schruns or a mountain cart to the middle station of the Kropfen. Those who still have strength, desire and spirit can of course descend to the Kropfen on foot. But I recommend taking the Hochjochbahn from the middle station Kropfen down to Schruns. The bus takes you back to St. Gallenkirch. My big goal is to visit more huts soon. Then you will find more detailed route descriptions here. So, you can be curious, and I am already looking forward to the summer season. Since the Silvretta Montafon hiking area stretches over more than 500 kilometres of marked hiking trails, it offers more than enough space to really satisfy your desire for hiking!
