Tour along the Silvretta High Alpine Road to Kopssee

With my visit last week I experienced great mountain moments. We drove by car up the Silvretta High Alpine Road, a dream road for connoisseurs. Ambitious sportsmen cycle up the 34 serpentines. The changing impressive views on the ride were quite an experience.

Arriving at the Bielerhöhe, we first climbed the hill to the Barbara Chapel. From there we let the breathtaking mountain world with its reservoir, small and large Piz Buin take effect on us. Then we took a walk over the dam of the Silvrettasee. We watched the climbers who climbed the Silvrettasee dam via ferrata.

We continued in the direction of Paznauntal – Galtür. Left off to the Kopssee. Via the viewing and information platform we reached the impressive dam wall and further on to a superbly laid out lakeside path around the Kopssee. In between we could enjoy great views again and again.

Finally we went back over the Bielerhöhe. Here we enjoyed another apple strudel on the terrace with a unique view. A beautiful day came to an end.

P.S. Alternatively, the way back is also possible via Landeck and over the Arlberg Pass.
