Advent Magic Forest in Gortipohl

adminUncategorized

It is the first Sunday of Advent. We lit the first candle on the Advent wreath and sang the classic “We say to you, dear Advent” with the children. Appropriately, it snowed a few centimeters during the night.

In the afternoon we set off to visit the Advent Magic Forest in Gortipohl. At the “Säge” (sawmill) in Gortipohl we walk about 5 minutes into the valley on the cycle path towards Gaschurn. At the edge of the cycle path on the right-hand side, you can see the illuminated signpost to the Advent Magic Forest from far away. This was lovingly designed for the second time by volunteers.

When the children discover the signpost, nothing can stop them. So we turn onto the narrow path into the forest. The fresh snow crunches under our soles, and the first station can already be guessed at through the whispering of the snow-covered fir trees.

Red, golden and brown glitter balls, illuminated wreaths and various wooden figures make the children’s eyes sparkle.

Lovingly decorated details enchant us. About halfway along the path, we find the highlight. The Christkindel letterbox! Of course, the children have taken precautions and brought their addressed wish lists with them. After all, it worked last year too 😉

After a total of about 10 beautiful stations, the path leads us left again towards the cycle path. From there we walk out of the valley back to Gortipohl.

All in all, we were on the way for about an hour. This very special, enchanting path is open to everyone until around 06 January.

We will definitely visit the Gortipohl Advent Magic Trail more often. And maybe we will meet you at this very special place.
